I love this programme as I avidly watch and hope to be able to answer maybe two or three decent answers. On tonight's show one of the teams was Robert Gordon. One of the contestants was a black student studying to achieve a Doctorate. Clearly no fool.
However, no matter how often the director panned the camera to the left it never showed the individual speaking about anything being asked by Jeremy. There was more contribution to this programme from my armchair than them. How on earth was this person chosen to represent their University? Anyone else notice.

Exactly - he's never said a word in all their appearances. Nothing to do with his colour, just a useless member of the team who should never have been chosen to represent their uni.

Wanted - one black, Islamic or Jewish, one-legged lesbian to participate in Uni Challenge, the college or Uni unknown at this point but the Beeb will fix it - and the false degree.

the budget is eight or ten ( shows)
and THEY choose the contestants - I was reserve on the grounds that I was nearest grad of the college ( to granada studios)

we won ( Trinity Hall ) and havent been invited back

Our one ( engineering) forgot what a quadrilateral was.

In the audience where we were coralled, a viewer gasped, "the reserves know all the answers!"

I felt like quipping ( like an auld Aber) - yes we do and that is why we arent on!

The BBC do not choose the contestants. The university does in whichever way they see fit.

PP Trinity Hall were on in 2021 and 2022, and perhaps other years.

To say they were not invited back is ridiculous, perhaps they didn't qualify in the years after your win.
