Oh yes, didn't the titles have hundreds and hundreds of logs floating down a river. Was it American or Canadian??

Aye - it always seemed to be on when I was skiving off school
yeah i just about remember watching it but cant remember much about it now except something to do with logging and the main guy had a big tash.shame its never been repeated on sky. was it around the same time as follyfoot ,tomorrow people black beauty,white horses.?

Yes....just about, i think the middle-aged greek guy liked wearing medalions and flaired trousers a lot and answered to the name of Nik, he was good at rescuing people wheather they liked it or not.


I thought the logs floating down the river was from the Forest Rangers ?

It was always on in the long, hot summer holidays..along with those badly dubbed shows 'Robinson Crusoe' & 'White Horses'. I enjoyed them all (but then I was only a nipper).
Still not as good as the Double Deckers ....... but it helped to while away an hour or ten!

It was shown on Saturday mornings in our ITV region.


And yes, it was Canadian.


The title sequence always started with a painting of a log, which then mixed to the same image as live-action. The log was on a chain, the chain was pulled, and the logs would roll.
