Name of the kids programme please.

We were discussing this TV programme, down the pub, and nobody seems to know the name. It was in the seventies and was about a girl who drew a house that was surrounded by big stones with eyes. There was a boy trapped inside who couldn't escape because the stones were watching. I think the girl drew the pictures then it became live action when she fell asleep. Someone said this was made into a film, but I only remember it as a TV programme Ideas?

Hi...i only know the film which was called "Paperhouse" and was released in 1988. It was more a fantasy/chiller than a kids film. Some basic details can be found at:

Ok....before they made the film, the BBC made a mini series in 1972 called "Escape Into The Night" which is more true to the book that both the film and mini series were based on. The books called "Merianne Dreams"

Thanks for that information. I remember the programme being seriously spooky ( the big stones with the eyes- nightmare stuff), abit like The Changes, which also scared the **** out of us. We must have been tougher kids in those days because you don't seem to see stuff like that anymore!!
