Anyone else been told there is a fault with cable in the south east/London area?

The "optimisation" and "upgrades" scheduled for the 10th and 11th affects "Acton, Cosham, Belfast, Brighton, Stoke and surrounding areas".

This should not have resulted in the total loss of service you describe. Have you tried rebooting your modem?
