Trying to find a background tune
Another long shot. Probably in a previous answer somewhere but l don't know too many details. I'd look on you tube if l knew what criteria to put in!
It's an instrumental piece (orchestral), probably made within the last year and by someone l should know!
It's been used a few times in programs like the X Factor and the "snippet" is normally played when someone has to make a decision and we are waiting for them to answer. It has a steady beat which gets louder and is interposed by two short notes (a rise and a fall) by what sounds like a badly played violin.

By the way, l know it was used in BBC2's Open Gardens recently (Doyle Gardens and Ewehurst House). It was when the guy who owns Doyle Gardens was waiting to hear if he had been accepted.

No it's not rise (thanks westender).
I think l've now checked most of Craig Armstrongs releases. Some of the tracks are in a similar genre, but none are what l'm thinking of.
It's definitely in that bbc link though , and l'll probably kick myself when l eventually find out what it is, and no doubt so will you all!
