Perhaps we only saw on tv what they wanted us to see..lol.
She sort of came over as obsessed with him and ever so slightly in love with him too :) I seem to remember her insisting they drape his standard over the bones as they took them away even though they didn't know then that it was really him.

I agree shaney, she did come over as being affected but on a later documentary she'd calmed down. Maybe she was too overwhelmed by it all. All very interesting though.
By the time they've finally decided on some historical facts we could find neti really is the queen. I'm still not curtseying.

Well the dentist's cancelled tomorrow again, her injured hand has had to go back in a splint. Wish I'd known earlier in the day. Hey ho.
They'll be digging Mr S up one of these days if he doesn't stop being cheeky to me .He just said that if there was a recruitment drive for grumpies I'd be top of all the short lists ...lol.
No way Robi. There's enough queens on this island without me adding to it.
the two people they got DNA samples from to check the skeleton's were a Canadian and an Australian. So the Pantangenets are obviously everywhere. I don't see why they couldn't find one sitting by a pool in Ibiza.
If i was her I'd have teeshirts made with "I was effing right" on the front and the back and wear them everywhere but then i have got nae couth and i dont forgive :)
Oh woofy a woman after my own heart, I rarely forgive and NEVER forget!!

Bought a new casserole dish today (it's pension day!) as the previous one was a bit small and when making a stew there was never enough room for the spuds! This one is marvellous, made a beef curry and a veg one, rice and pappadoms. Didn't have any yoghurt for the raita so I put in cream and milk and mint sauce, very nice. I prepared the rice earlier and it boiled dry. Best rice I've ever had. I saved the top bit for dinner and the rest I scraped off and mixed it with curry powder, mayo and mango chutney, ate it for lunch, it was really nice and crunchy.
Evening each. Yes I'm busy again..at last. Sunday yes Robi I was walking when to mist had eared. e and Fuschia walked down the Castle. Monday car man came and sorted a 'sore' spot on my car, a massive pile of ironing, cleaning, etc....Tuesday Tai chi, lunch, out to the Queens Med Hospital, Nottingham to see my brother-in-law ( twin) who has the same cancer as his brother soo sad. I found it very difficult. Then in the evening I went to see Derby County beat QPR 1-0. Today it was Sainsburys, School, then I baked and apple pie to take to Steady tomorrow. It's his birthday on Friday but I shall be going South so I will take it up tomorrow with his card and present. So here is. All I have to do now is ring Steadier for our weekly chat and then I'll collapse in a heap.
You all sound 'jolly' and have given me some laughs....thanks for being there over all the years - we can say that now can't we?
I'll be home on Monday but will catch up over the weekend. Laters Gaters!
Please excuse the errors. I'm honestly not on the Baileys.....yet!!
Mr N has just booked us one night in the mountains, called Bajo el Cielo (under the sky) but it's not a tent, Its a lovely very old but updated hotel, it's for walkers, but I have stated very firmly that I am not walking!! So excited.
It all sounds wonderful Neti. Today I cleared the chest freezer out down to the bottom, got all the ice out and checked the food over.....I have got a feeling that I haven't done this for a year or three......There wasn't much too throw away, some junk I don't eat any more and a few bogofs that I bought to try that were disgusting......no lovely surprises either though.
I'm a forgive and forget type .Life's too short to bear a grudge really.
I can't say that I forget exactly ,but I don't dwell on things .Water runs under bridges pretty quickly. I always remember my Mum and my sister how they fell out over the stupidest thing and never spoke to one another for years.
I watched that new series Cuffs .It's quite good and then Joanna Lumley about Elvis which was also good and that's the end to my day.
Sounds ideal Neti ,I bet you're looking forward to it. Laying there looking at the stars .....oooh:)
Did I just see our Jude whirl in and out again ..lol.
Very virtuous of you Woofy.I don't like defrosting our small chest freezer one bit.You have to practically do a hand stand to get all the carp out of the bottom .
Night all.

I am enjoying Cuffs too. I don't like family fights either and will do my utmost to avoid them and to keep the peace. Outside of my family and friends and when I am right about facts though......
Anyway, the fireworks seem to have stopped for the night and the dogs are snoring so oight oight all.
Good morning. I didn't watch Cuffs bur will download it as I will Elvis. Nice sunny day. Hair washed and spiking up very well!

Morning...grey and wet yet again. Very teejus.
Waves to Jude!

Ha, you sound like me woofy. I buy things for the freezer because I thought 'I ought to try something different'.

Close family I never fall out with....never even argue with actually...you never know what's around the corner. With others I can usually turn the other cheek and let things go, it takes a lot to really anger me. Once I've been very annoyed or hurt though I don't forget and I'm not sure I always forgive either, I just change my relationship with the person(s) concerned. ie I either keep contact but with reservations or walk away completely. Once I've walked I very rarely go back. There are some people you just don't need bringing you down, taking advantage or making you feel uncomfortable.
I'm very good at sitting back and watching karma do it's stuff :)

That sounds lovely neti, get your red socks and hiking boots on. :)

tut...all out doing penny for the guy...
just waiting for the rain, it's due in 44 minutes. Also waiting for the rubbish men to empty the bin we left out two days ago. They said they couldn't get to it becasue the water works were blocking the road. Actually therey were only blocking half the road, so they could have driven round the block and approached the other way, but this probably didn't accur to them.
Hello all
Another damp dreary day.
Lol Robinia ,penny for the guy.The way I feel today people would throw money at me just to get rid of me :)

I wish we could have guy fawkes, in the old days a few people had parties but the Spanish powers weren't too fond of private fireworks and permission had to be granted. All fiesta fireworks are council run when we have them but new mayor about 10 yes ago cancelled them all to save money! Would love to wrap up and go out.
not out collecting, woke up with a stonker of a headache so we all had breakfast and went back to sleep again. Its like the end of the world here, very black and wet and windy.
