I like the Aldi Xmas. Advert.
Question Author
Morning..
Nooooooo ^^^ Saw it last night neti and it made me want to throw something at the tele. Too cheesy, terrible singer. I don't like any supermarket xmas ads anyway. (But I do love hearing Jarvis Cocker's voice on the sainsburys ads) As for John Lewis, they peaked with the snowman, they should stop with the multi million £ ads now and reduce their handbags instead. :)
I admit I was in a grumpy mood yesterday, I'd had a blinding sinus headache all day, bad enough to make me feel queasy & stop me doing anything, then there were fireworks going off....grrrr. It's this bloomin weather, I've had enough now. It's dark and wet but to make it interesting it's windy as well today. Oh joy.

So sorry you've lost a long term neighbour shaney. I wish I stil had my old neighbours.
Morning all. I love all Xmas adverts. Reminds me.of home just not the same here!
Am back in ibiza have bought 2 prs of boots and some casual shoes and a white shirt. Now waiting for the 1 an hour bus back!
Ah this is lovely. Just sitting at the pavement cafe absolutely super.
Question Author
shuttit...I'd love to be outside but it happens to be black and white movie stair-rods, bouncing off the pavement type monsoon. I think that just about covers it. I could have condensed it to 'crip'.
Hello all
It's chucking it down here too.Crip is the right word for it.I can think of a few other choice ones too.
End of an era Robinia .I expect the house will be sold.
it was lovely until a woman turned up who I just cannot abide, unfortunately she is also a friend of my gbf, life is too short now to bother with people I absolutely dislike, so I drank my coffee and left. She is a coke head, loses so much money on drugs and life style and talks about herself all the time, only drinks champagne..me me me. grrr!
so back at home washing drying nicely, should be out sunbathing it really is that nice 22º.
It's not stopped raining since I got here so we're off to see James Bond Movie this afternoon. Then Crispy Duck Etc for dinner when we get back. And a glass of Chablis of course.......then going to Brighton tomorrow hoping the rain stops.
Question Author
We're actually having a sunny interlude at the moment, still cloudy though and not 22C.
I've been following a squirrel in the garden who appeared to be trying to bury a tube of some sort. I'm not sure whether it was a spent firework or it had contained something edible. Maybe he's gathering the parts required to make a device to blow the squirrel-proof feeder apart. I think he's using next door's playhouse as a factory. Expecting it go into orbit later :)

Enjoy yourself Jude. I had duck at xmas once and I wasn't overly impressed...but it was in the pre 'crispy' days :)

Hope when the time comes you get someone nice shaney. Mine are ok but they're a law unto themselves.

sorry, just testin' I couldn't get the f key to work without banging it...it's ok now. :) :)
We didn't get any interludes .It's just hissed it down all day.

Have a nice time Jude ..I'd pass on the duck though ,crispy or otherwise :)
I love crispy duck but it has to be crispy, In August we were invited to a rather expensive restaurant ( I only say that as they should know better!) the duck was soggy yuek totally revolting, won't go there again and it used to be our favourite back in the day!!
I used to have a pet duck ,Joey ,and my Dad told me not to make a fool of this duck as it was for the pot.
Never eaten duck since.
Question Author
hahaha, that's lovely shaney, I can't stop watching it. I love seeing them pat leaves down over their stashes in the garden. Poor Joey :(
I can picture him now waddling down the garden .He was an Aylesbury duck, ever so tame. Better than any guard dog and would hiss and flap at anyone going past the back gate.He used to sit on my lap and eat cake .
Same here with rabbit!
That's another thing I won't eat. Dad had rabbits and they got that myxamatosis.
Laptop kaput. I'll be on phone for a while so "bear with".
Question Author
Oh no, does that mean I'll need to install a translation app?

I've eaten rabbit and enjoyed it but not for a very long time.

I'm glad I haven't got a headache tonight, it's like a war zone round here.
Yes indeed Robin
It's the netispeak app
