Tim Willcox outside Westminster, talking about Thatcher, referred to her 'reign'.

There's a joke about actually that when Margaret Thatcher died Prince Charles accidentally declared himself King :)

I also found it amusing when the BBC newsreader announced that Baroness Thatcher had died following a STRIKE!
I think that might be urban myth

Do you think so mick . . . .

'one has to giggle, doesn't one?'

Not if you have been educated.
I thought the funeral went very well. Wonderful to see the vast majority of the crowd applauding her.............

Why? Reign is in common use for a period of rule, leading, or dominance; Ted Heath's reign, Sir Alex's reign and so on. It doesn't suggest regality then

More telling is "We are a grandmother" for " are grandparents". That's a "me, me, me" statement.
Yes sir.prize one does.
Whats funny about a political "reign". I don't get it.
Monarchs reign, PMs govern.
