Last Night`s Eastenders

Can anyone make sense of last night`s Eastenders,when Kat was at the convent,the nun asked her were the babies alright..I thought at first she meant the twins she now has and wondered how she knew about them as Kat had not mentioned them...but she was referring to the twins Kat had whilst at the convent when she was 14.
How could the baby boy been took away without the nun knowing as she was looking after Kat and so would have known that Kat knew nothing about the boy and so would not have asked???.
How could Kat not know she had delivered two babies????
Ok,maybe she had a bad time and did not realise and the mother had took it away..but the nun would have known this.
Sometimes these soaps think we don`t notice these things or have I missed something here...and I know...it is only a soap.!!!!!

I found it very touching, and yes I also wondered how the nun knew about the twins and the other child, now it makes sense. Yes some big holes in the story but maybe it'll all knit together one day!

clearly a family member gave the baby boy away...at 14 she probably was heavily sedated and did not know she had twins...
