I have heard a lot claiming it is but personally I'm an occams razore man and I cannot see what possible reason there is to fix it. People regularly win and also often verify the well known statistic that most of the public are thick as gip tish.

There are no such things as 'easy' or 'hard' questions. Just those you know the answer to and those you don't. As the chasers all have a very high degree of GK, they know the answer to many of the questions posed. They are professional quizzers, it's what they do for a living. No need to fix anything.

Yes, the competitors (supposedly) choose the set of questions in the final chase, but they're asked 'Set A or Set B?' We don't see them.
They're on Brad's computer screen, so there is no proof that "Set A (or B)" are the actual ones randomly chosen.
The chasers' questions do seem easier, especially as the time draws to a close and the Chaser is near his target.

I don't think it's actually fixed but the episodes are played in a way that we never have the same chaser twice in a week and I've noticed that they win about once a week.
I alway know that if they won yesterday they are not going to win today if you know what I mean which does take the suspense away a bit.

No not fixed.
It is not live so they may film retakes of scripted answers. And they obviously film them it batches, so they will film with one chaser for a couple of days, get 10 episdes in the can, and then not show them consecutively, mixing different chasers for different days. They will also know which days have the highest viewing figures, so they can air a winning episode on that day.

I am always amazed at how 'difficult' the questions are on celebrity editions when they are playing for charity. I know some of them are a bit thick but you would think they would give them easier questions as so many leave without any money for their chosen charity - if it was fixed you would think it would be the celebrity ones that were.
