Tonight and tomorrow on Channel 5 at 9pm. Shocking true story of the schoolgirl whose mother shocked the nation by hiding her own daughter in the base of a divan bed for 24 days and pretended she’d been kidnapped in order to try and claim a £50,000 reward.....
Gripping story.

Ok shocking then, is that better?? X
Watched this the first time it was on. Decent watch despite knowing the outcome.
One viewing was enough for me .
I would have thought that after the Drama series they should have left this alone.

A lot of the locals are unhappy about this documentary.

I’ve not seen it. I hope Shannon managed to get on with a normal life after it all.
it seems unlikely with her mum in prison and with a foster family. I rather hope her life wasn't normal (to her) afterwards but normal in the same way other people are :)
Shannon must be 20 something now ,I hope she's leading a peaceful life
I've seen it before, don't think I'll watch again. Even if Shannon has made good progress since the event, this sort or programme is not going to help her.
The ‘ mother ‘ is no longer in prison .
I won't be watching it again either although I do understand Smow watching it if she hasn't seen it
//The Disappearance of Shannon Matthews: Channel 5 to air brand new documentary with never-before-seen interviews.//
I still won't be watching it Mamya, unless Shannon is being paid they should leave her to get on with her life
I agree, give the girl some peace and privacy
She won't be watching according to some who still know her - she has been granted lifelong anonymity and I agree it should now be left alone.
She may not be watching, but there is likely someone who will know her, and we know what social media is like. She may read that.
We all know the facts of this and those that don't can look them up on the internet if they want to. This is exploitation of a young woman's troubled childhood and nobody should be making money out of it for public entertainment.
How is Shannon and her siblings supposed to get on with their lives when this old news keeps getting raked up.
Barry - I totally agree
Her best friend and some of the local community were interviewed for this new documentary. Thats what it says on Sky anyway.
As far as I know this is a first on TV. I'm going to give it a go.
