Question - Where are you most likely to hear the words "Doors to Manual ".
Answer is on a plane.
My question is, since when have we spelled aeroplane as AIRPLANE , as was stated in the answer choice.
Depressing, to say the least.

Airplane? Surely you can't be serious!
I was in the States recently and got talking with some locals.

One topic of conversation was how the Americans have altered the English language to suit themselves. They gave the explanation as "why use letters that are unnecessary"?! :o)

Strangely enough, "Airplane" was one of the words discussed. Their answer? "We invented the thing, so we can spell it how we damn well want to"! :o)
