Sqad, whilst staying in a London hotel not so long ago a group of Spanish students were behaving in the most obnoixous manner ever. Again, whilst on an aircraft back from Spain we were unfortunate enough to have to travel with another group of totally obnoxious, rude and discourteous Spanish school kids who were totally out of control. Don't keep knocking the UK.

Actually, I have come across people that are like those on the Kyle show, but they are not the norm in this country, just an example and, unfortunately, they are the ones that get the media attention.

I don't watch the Kyle show - once you have seen it a couple of times it's the same old thing day by day.

Have a nice day.

Lofty.
All groups of kids are "obnoxious, rude and discourteous". Whats your point?
This post wasn't about British kids, just the Jeremy Kyle show.
I'm struggling to understand why there is an anti-sqad bias on here?

I fell out with the fella a couple of weeks ago, but in retrospect, understood and even agreed with some of his points. There seems to be a bit of a fluffy conspiriacy on here against anyone who's views don't agree with yours.
They usually are kids on the JK show though. Well, when I say kids, mostly under 25 anyway.

Yeah, those folk on it are grim, but it would hardly be entertaining (?) TV if they were just your average UK citizen whinging about their next door neighbours dog barking at 7am in the morning would they? They pick the extremes for these kind of shows.
bobjugs- when you've been on the recieving end of sqads sneering, patronising "i'm better than you" attitude, then come back and still have the same attitude.
Lofty was trying to illustrate (as I'm sure you are well aware) that finger-pointing about behaviour and ascribing it as being particular to ONE country, carries the danger that it is also true, but conveniently forgettable, behaviour of a similar class in the new host country............
I certainly was not getting at Sqad. I know better. However, he is constantly putting the UK down and the Jeremy Kyle show is not representative of Britain.

Bobjugs, there is no conspiracy against Sqad as far as I am concerned. Far from it!!
Thank you jack the hat. You are exactly right in what I was trying to point out.

Unfortunately jack, the Jeremy Kyle show, Trisha Goddard show, etc aren't made in Spain (or Germany, France or China for that matter), they're made in the UK. Now these nations have their own shows and their own problems with their own disaffected youth/underclasses; but the thread was about Jeremy Kyle, which is filmed in Britain and features British people.

Rather than saying "look, those people over there are almost as bad as us" we should be saying "what can I do to improve this nation for the benefit of myself, my family and my fellow Brit"

Yes, Bob, that would have been helpful.
However, that was not Sqads' message; he prefers to criticise UK from his comfy armchair in Spain.............
you knew I'd find it...... ;)

I sincerely hope the people on JK aren't representative of the UK as a whole. I look on the show as a kind of freak show or circus of horrors, a modern day equivalent of visiting bedlam to laugh at the lunatics.

Some people win the UK lottery but it doesn't make us a nation of millionaires.

I don't know sqad or his history.
However, if he has worked in the UK all his life, paid his taxes and contributed towards the social and economic well-being of this nation before retiring to the sun, then he has as much right to comment as anyone else.

If however, he is a ganster, tax-refugee, or any other miscreant, then I'll fall in line with the rest of the party.

Bob - He's sneeringly in the former camp................

And those regulars amongst us tire very quickly of being sneered at and pontificated to.........
