I need some advice please. Recently i was returning home from central london when i stopped over nr oxford st junction with tottenham court road for some food from the macdonalds. It was 3.20am. When i got to the restaurant the security guard told me they closed 20 mins ago. I began walking to my car when i stopped to cross t.ct rd. Whilst waiting to cross a man was walking towards me gazing upwards and looking lost. I dont know why, but i said to him, 'you alright mate?' he replied' im looking to get to kings cross, im lost'...i informed him he was walking in the wrong direction and that he needed to turn around and walk the other way. He then said 'im not from around here, im trying to find my hotel, and i cant work out where i am'. I asked him where he had been, being friendly, when the traffic was clear for me to walk to my car. He duely arranged transport for me to go to the police station. During police interview he claimed i approached him and asked him if he wanted a taxi. And that he arrested me for this offence. He agreed we spoke for a short time by the side of the road, he also agreed that he claimed to be lost and not from the area. I asked in interview if he agreed that no money was offered by him or asked by me, to which he had a panic look to his face and he reluctantly ag
