Do you think this is a fair price?
My friend has just had their car in for a service, MOT, 2 new tyres, brake pads and discs. Not at a main dealer but a well known chain of garages. They were charged £890! Fair or ripped off?

(well I has my tyres done at KF and booked online and had the option to go there anyway) I dont know about mileage, not even sure how old car is but he has only had it about a year. Not much help I know, just wanted opinions on price as I wouldnt have bloody paid it lol.
What puts the price up is where the driver is too lazy to get his pads changed soon enough. This results in metal against metal and scores the discs. A scored disc will ruin any future brake pad so they have to be changed also. You get a warning when this is happening as you hear a distinctive ear splitting screech and is probably too late. The bill for these runs into hundreds.
