Removing a Ford Radio
The wiring to the speakers in my car's radio is playing up, and I'd like to remove the radio to have a look, but as it's a second hand car, I don't have a serial keycode for it. Am I going to trigger the keycode by removing the radio? It's a Ford 6000 RDS CD player.
Thankyou.

My local Ford dealer wants 23 + vat to retrieve the code from the radio. I think the code is retrievable from the serial number of the radio by applying some sort of algorithm. This is usually done using a computer. I have a similar problem for which I will post a new enquiry. Why on earth we need keycodes for 10+ year old standard Ford radios beats me! Why can't the keycode requirement self destruct after 10 years?
