Strange noise in a VW Polo

I was driving home this afternoon when my car started making a strange noise. The noise only starts when I go faster than 35mph and it sounds like a cross between a faint siren and a mosquito in the car (if that makes sense - I am not very technically minded). Any ideas folks?

Have you got your air con on? If so turn it off and see if you still hear this noise..if you don't hear it it could be the air con kicking in

She's to bloody tight sammo, she doesn't use her lights either she's scared that she may get an electricity bill lol.

The strange noise is the old man pushing - she does that to save fuel.

Hello Den, hope you are OK.
Trust me, I've had Harrison Ford check out every aspectof under the car. There are no bollards, traffic wardens, smally furry creatures or similar stuck underneath

I was always told not to worry about noises unless the noise suddenly stops!

I've just sussed it out Mrs O, your knees, also your right ankle need oil, reduce your speed, reduce the strange noise.
