At the risk of starting a motangelist fatwa, can anyone explain to me what is wrong with driving in the middle lane at at least 70mph on a motorway?

General Comments,

----- is a very experienced driver of some 30+years of driving, very safe at all times, generally a very good driver in poor conditions traffic / & demanding routes.

I do not want an Orange for the listed Certs but it Izzez me off when I see someone preach about something the seem to know sod all about,
D9, my assumption of people like you, they cause carnage, look in their mirror & say fck it, its behind me, Take a tip from a person that has seen death caused by persons like you, the lanes are there for the purpose of flowing traffic not a GLUE LANE to be stuck ih whilst there are many cars stuck behind you, they do not give out lollipops for using mirrors, but you need to bye a few before going on long / short motorway journeys.

Mick - LOL.
the highway code says drive on the left except when overtaking that also applies to motorways, you like some others don't realize that.
at the risk of talking for D9 you seem up for a debate! :)
But I think although the middle and outside lanes are for overtaking, it is also just as dangerous to be continually changing lanes so therefore if the left hand lane has lorrys as it usually does and traffic merging onto the moterway, then it would be safer to stay in the middle at 70 (this is my usuall tactic as it suits my careful speed with out being too slow or to fast fro my little car and I can see the junctions on and off, with out having to continually change lane from being behind a truck going up hill).
