VW Polo locking problem...

Whenever I try to central lock my VW Polo using the driver's door, it no longer works, yet I can central lock it using the passenger door. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be here please???

I had this on my Lupo but on the passenger door, the main VW dealer here told me that it was my car that didn't have central locking which was total b*ll*** as it clearly did.

Took the car back almost a year later and they sorted it under warrantee.

Basically the mechanism wears out and needs replacing.

Cheers for that Cockney_si - not sure if it's the mechanism that's worn out on my car though, as it works from the passenger side ok.

Had similar problem with Ford Escort.  Try a squirt of oil in the keyhole.....it sorted my problem.  Good luck.
