Best Product For Washing A Car.

Basically always had old cars which I did not worry about and used washing up liquid. Remember someone saying it can damage the paintwork. Is this true?

My OH just gave a resounding NO to washing up liquid, he must have heard the same as you. He said any proper car shampoo although Autoglim is supposed to be the best.

dilute it well and hose it of as soon as possible should not damage paint worh .remerber hands that do dishes can be soft as cant rmember what

Any car shampoo will be fine or better still car shampoo with wax in it.

They are Eastern European, Tony and yes, Gavmacp, they do clean and polish cars. I leave it with them and come back home.When I go back, my car looks lovely and shiny.

I'm like tilly and use a bunch of east European guys. They do range of washes from £5 for a basic wash to £50 for a full valet which leaves it looking like it's just come out of the sales room, there's even a little cafe just down the road were you can get a coffee while they do your car. The only trouble with them is they are always busy so if you get there at the wrong time you have to be prepared to wait.

Why leave the car with them the poles they clean the car while your still in it around my neck of the woods.

Tony, I can't bear to sit there whilst they're washing my car. It just seems so..............wrong/lazy/idle.
