Mine had no rust at all. Apart from the bumper. And I was once stopped by a policeman when I had a car full of drunken footballers who informed me that "I stopped this car because it is very rare with the Special edition gold rust bumper". Barsteward.
Triumph Herald, fire engine red.....
white volkswagen - cost me £150 in 1973.

Nearly cost me my life. I was driving back from Castlebellingham to Belfast and at Hillsborough was going round a roundabout - brakes failed. The car toppled over the "wall" of the roundabout and I bounced upside down about 3 times.

Was lying like that for probably seconds when people came over. I asked them to turn me over which they did. I seem to be very cool and collected in an accident. Always.

I walked away unscathed or so I thought but had lumps all over my head, severe bruising on the thighs and so on. No didn't wear a seat belt then. No wonder I am not right.
Mk2 Ford Escort in white.
JJ, VW were exciting driving down the M1 when the bonnet flies open
A Black Standard 8 Side Valve, what a car, the back seat lowered for the best Night's entertainment you could ask for????? Memories.

1957 Austin Cambridge. Cost £30 , it went perfectly for 6 months before the engine blew up, but I got £10 back from the scrap yard for it so a bargain, worked out at £3.33 a month. Oh yes, I remember now I sold the clock for £2 so even more of a bargain.
Mine was a Vauxhall Viva, loved that car.
