Supermarket and garage forecourts are no different to public roads for the purposes of the Road Traffic Act, and should be reported to the police. Taking numbers is a good idea as any information is of assistance to the police and insurance companies.

Woofgang, you asked why I said what I did. Here is my answer. Parking across two parking bays shows a lack of regard and respect for other people. I have lost count of the times I have been able to park somewhere because of inconsiderate parking. It has everything to do with me when it happens. I too find the spaces narrow, but I still park withing them as that is the way it is. They may be plenty of spaces left when you do so, but situations change. If everyone did it, it would be mayhem.
