Did the Gov advise the public to go for diesels as they were Climate Friendly? I now see that they want older dervs to go on the scrappage scheme, are they prepared to cover the full costs that they had the people incur with the change? or is this another UK Rip Off?

I remember diesels were definitely recommended over petrol for their improved fuel consumption thus environmental benefit. Bit of a balls up it seems.

That was the information they had at the time, now with new information and new studies the information changes. Its hardly a major crime and certainly not worth getting your knickers in a twist.
