A friends daughter has trust I me to get her a second hand car, Peugeot, Yaris or something similar, I would do this gladly, one Issue she has a £1000 to spend & I know well it's not a lot which I've told her, the mileage is going to be high within reason, may not have service history & as tried tested, would you use your own money or hers, she just wants the car to appear on her door step.

It's no easy task TWR as you know, people expect you to pull something magic out of the hat - those deals are rare these days.

Just advise as you have and let her make the final decision.

TWR....I have been thinking about this again today.

To be honest, I think you are on a hiding to nothing here.

Does this woman really think that someone else purchasing her car, and not consulting here will work ?

Tell her that you will willing to assist but she has to come with you to look at the cars.

Mikey, it now appears she suffers from Panic Attacks etc, that's why she will not go with me, I know the family as I sold her Dad a Car years ago without issues this is why she ask me for my help but this for me has "END OF" she will now have to sort it out herself as I've spent too many hours searching for her.

Just because you like to wear you pants on top of your trousers doesn't make you a superhero TWR. You don't have to be rude to other ABers who simply respond to a post entitled 'Your Opinion?' Apologies for the grammar alteration.
Best buy would be a Japanese model at that price. They always top the reliabilty charts. An Aygo in white with the genius 4 doors! But, yeah, get at least half from her first!
