If it fails on a point then they should ring you and ask you what you want to do, I trust my garage and always say that if there is anything minor just go ahead and fix it. But as I say I trust them and they know that I was an engineer.
Thank you both for that. I don't really want the bother of having to take the car back in, if anything needs doing. I would prefer it to be sorted out on the day.
Tilly just be a bit careful with EH. We took our car there for a recall (can't remember why) when we picked it up they said that it would need new front tyres (9000 miles on the clock) it's passed the MOT 3 times since then.
I can't stand EH, Margo. I think their customer service is very poor. We use them because the Lifetime Warranty is voided if the car is taken elsewhere.
if there's anything wrong with the car, this is an excellent way of finding out, rather than waiting till it goes phut in the middle of the M25. As others have said, there shouldn't be anything wrong, with mileage like that.
oh, just seen your latest post. In some ways lots of little journeys aren't the greatest thing. Moisture build-up in the exhaust pipe, for instance, with no time to burn it off.
That's the nature of my day to day life, Jno. I do lots of little journeys. I have a problem with driving and can't do busy main roads and motorways. I do realise that it doesn't do the car much good though.
If I need to go somewhere further afield, I go on the train.
Tilly, for a few years now I have mostly done only very short journeys which isn't good for the car. However, it has never failed an MOT test in its life which is 14 years! Oh and has 42k on the clock.
