yesterday. It's the first one, as the car is now three years old.

The mileage is 9076. Do you think it will pass?

as long as all is ok ! fingers crossed.
A modern car with a very low mileage, it should sail through.

The chap at Evans Halshaw was taken aback when I told him what the mileage was!
lol..you are the "one old lady owner that only went for the paper of a morning" !
1st MOT, normally goes straight through Tilly.

I don't even use it for that, Minty. :-)

I tend to make the most of my bus pass, to be honest.
Just check the obvious - all lights are working, wipers are clearing properly and windscreen washer won't run out before test completed.

Oh, and don't have anything hanging from the rear view mirror.
no point in using car to go to town here either Tilly..no parking...
Question Author
Thanks for the reassurance, Danny and TWR.

I'm sure it will be fine.
Question Author
Do I have to take my little, dangly air freshener thing off the mirror then Hoppy?
Unless you're an old hoon doing burnouts and parking by braille it should be no problems.

A quick look at the rubber, make sure they are wearing evenly and ensure all exterior lights operate, can't foresee a problem.
usually a walk through..but as said make sure silly things like water bottle.. and lights are working... leave a bag of murraymints on the seat ! ;0) lol
Question Author
I'll check the waterbottle and the lights, get rid of the air freshner and buy some Murraymints. That should do it. Thanks all.
"leave a bag of murraymints on the seat ! "
I would infinitely prefer the real thing, Minty.
FAR too good to hurry ! lol xx
Question Author
No flirting in my car!
I'm sure they/you are too good to hurry and you know how time passes so quickly in the cupboard.
EEK !! sshhhhh.... ;0)
Question Author
If it fails, do the garage 'put it right' and retest it, there and then?

No experience of cars and MOTs really.
they give you a notice to make good within the mot period and then retest..sometimes if parts are available they will just do the job there and then...depends how chummy you are with the testing garage !
