^^^^ Mine too. I could write a book about the problems I've had with manual cars, very little could be said for my automatics, & those I have had were electrical, which might apply universally.

I also don't go to Kwikfit for advice.

I've been driving automatics now for over 50 years and only had problems with 2 of them, both under warranty. My current car is 14 years old and has just had a service at 212,000 miles having had no gearbox (or engine) problems. I argued in an earlier post that I feel that automatics are kinder to the engine because thay won't let you abuse it; the same is true of the gearbox - you can't crunch the gears in an auto or force it to do something that would be damaging to it.

Changed to auto 30 years ago as I was getting pain in my left hip from operating the clutch. The pain went away after about 2 months and hasn't recurred. I will never own another manual.
