Car passed its MoT today but there's an advisory about 'cracking' on the two offside tyres (I can't see anything!) Obviously it's not on to change these two, but is there anything I can do to avoid having to get four new tyres?

I'm beginning to wish I hadn't asked - I was only wondering if there was a safe way of avoiding having to buy 4 new tyres :)
well you started it with your snotty comments.
Driving to the limit of adhesion on a wet surface to sell two tyres instead of one seems excessive.

Sensible speeds in all situations might be the answer.

Oh, and in my considerable experience Michelin tyres are pretty ropey in the wet at any speed. Not scientific analysis, just real life.
I've got Pirelli PZero (PNCS) tyres on the Jaaaaag! Awesome and silent!
Maybe you should try driving at a sensible speed, Dougie? I’ve never had a problem with any make of tyre in the wet.
I see you use the same analytic method as me ZaM.

And yet the results differ. x
Aye, it’ll be the Scottish rain, Dougie.

That could be the answer, my research took place over a much longer time due to our famously dry micro climate in Scotia.

What snotty comments? All I said was I didn't park the car in the sun!
This post is getting tiring :•))

Jeez
Brainiac, I don't think the 'snotty comments' was aimed at you.
But Tora Tora Tora knows best, after all, he is a member of Mensa, a die hard patriot, and owns a Jaaaaag!

What more could I say, apart from this.

That's Five Bellies, Oz.

.
Are you sure? Jimmy Gardner died in 1998, I don't remember him being that bald
Barry, it's a different person. :-)
More than one Five Bellies? How can that be?
