After nearly splattering an off road bike last night, I've decided I need a dash cam.
Can anyone recommend one?

If you get ones with parking sensor don't have Halfords put them in as they refuse to connect them to a live feed which means the parking bit will not work. They say it will run your battery down but they are fitted with a sensor to stop them from doing this.
We too have nextbase camera and agree that they are very good. The only drawback with having them connected to a live supply is that they create a lot of "Protected files" which can only be deleted by formatting the card. This means a lot of housekeeping or the card will fill very quickly and the camera will stop recording.
We got hit twice while parked so decided to get one with parking mode. First time we paid ourselves, second we went through insurance as it was going to cost a bit. Wish we hadn't as although we have protected no claims they still doubled our insurance premium on the renewal. Gone with someone else now.
