that is like asking how long a piece of string could be...

full service history tells you its had regular oil and filter changes etc.

it wont tell you the condition of the engine.

there are lots of high speed parts in a petrol engine.

130k miles is high for a 1.6 engine.

i was once told that a piston will travel twice as far as the car.

so, your pistons have done roughly 260k miles !!!

simple option would be to get a compression test done on the engine.

another option would be to get an exchange engine fitted.

HAPPY MOTORING... :-)

Impossible to tell.

If it aint broke don't fix it!

As others have said that's an impossible question to answer. I owned an E reg Escort 1.4 from new. When I got rid of it 14 years later it had done 187,000 miles with the original engine and clutch.

The astra estate is a company car use by one person only. It has been well looked after. the body work is fine

if you intend buying the car, make allowances for the high milage. the price should obviously reflect the 130k miles. dont forget its not only the engine that has covered the distance. exhaust, suspension, geer box, and steering all take the strain.

ask the person who used the car what its had done !
