My rear view mirror will not stick to the windscreen. I have tried the sticky pads but eventually it starts falling off again. Any ideas.

You probably need to clean your windscreen (with a bit of solvent) and try again.

no, use Araldite or a similar epoxy resin glue (2 part glue). Its the only thing that has withstood time, direct heat from the sun and general vehicle vibrations in my experience. Worka treat and nothing could remove it.

Go to B&Q or Robert Dyas. They sell it. It comes in 2 seperate tubes, that you need to mix (not all of it, just the right amount). Hardens very quickly and very hard. So you need to get it lined up right.

Costs around 4 or 5.

Pads are cack!

Thanks alot. I will clean it with a solvent then araldite! It is direct sunlight that makes the pads melt. You are right spaced they are cack
A rear view mirror needs a special glass adhesive taking special care that the surface of the glass and mirror are suitably cleaned. This special ahhesive is available in Halfords. When applied correctly the rear view mirror will never come off again (short of being abused)

thanks the fixor.

You should try going to somewhere like Autoglass or National Windscreens, my local branch will fix a mirror on free of charge, using industrial strength adhesive as well!
