Seriously though it took me four times to pass my test and would say that you defo have to try and relax as much as possible. The instructor had to keep stopping the car on my first one as i couldn't control my legs due to the nerves. It isn't as bad as you think just though just remember you can always put in for another if worst comes to worst. I took all of mine within about a two/three week period but that was back in '97. Good luck anyway!
I've just taught my third son to drive and pass his test. I've always gone along with the idea of "just show the examiner that you are safe to be on the road" and don't be over concerned about all the test trivia you may hear. Also I just found out that all the test routes are viewable online on the DVLA site - might be worth a look to see if there's any tricky junctions etc. Have you researched what is expected of you? Can you point out basic items under the bonnet? Where would you the jack the car to fix a puncture? The highway code is very worthwhile reading. Best of luck!
