From which country originates a car with the plates

EL 1234 K

There is a car with a registration similar to this which I keep seeing on my way in to work. (I have changed the numbers only; the letters are the same)

It doesn't display one of the white stickers with an abbreviated code for thie country of registration,

eg. F or ES or D etc.

Very puzzled. Any ideas?

If you have a reason for wanting to know.the DVLA will be able to help. When a vehicle is imported into the country, A UK number is issued to it. The car's own number will normally be used unless it is in Arabic or Cyrillic letters etc. Otherwise you might like to trawl through the examples given in Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_vehicle_ registration_plates

That configuration would be valid for a Polish vehicle registered in Łdź but there may well be other places that conform to that sequence.
