I would try something spirit based to remove the film, then wash with hottish water with a cap or two of vinegar in it. Rub with newspaper.
Use pink windowlene. Rub it on using a cloth and allow it to dry. Using a dry cloth, rub the pink residue off the windscreen and buff up. This is quite time comsuming but is well worth the effort.
I've had this problem too I've tried pink windolene and all other sorts does anyone know the answer?
Well , hi again .I have an new WI book for the home and it says to remove greasystuff from windscreen make a thin paste of bicarb. of soda. Give it a good rub and rinse well.
