Hi
Depends on how much you value your life!
I own a Skyline and a GT Turbo, and due to the price of tyres for this type of car, i opted for the cheapest, huge mistake.
Cornering, braking and ride quality went so far down, i actually changed the whole lot after about a 1000 miles.
there`s an old addage you get what you pay for, and nowadays there are a lot of good budget tyres around, but the quality of the rubber, the load rates are not close to the premium brands.
I realise not everyone will be driving in the same style as i do, but when you consider that regardless of annual mileage or style of driving, the only thing that stops you in all weathers is your tyres and brakes, and the golden rule is never compromise on these.
The Mondeo V6 is not a light car, its quite front heavy, and as Toureman has already said Continentals or Michelins are good, but a W rating is a bit of an overkill for your car, but the website is good for prices and selection.
And when you pay 100 a tyre have a quite chuckle at mugs like me who have to pay 250 each for peace of mind.
Einstein once said....... it`s all relative !!
