well it passed today! they noted that the rear brake pads were worn but not yet needing replacing.

but.... last year it passed with a note that the front nearside brake pad was worn. I didn't get it done... has it magically improved, or is something not right with the MOT test?

should I do anything?

Euro Car Parts are very reasonable and will have pads for most makes and models, I'm a mechanic and their pads are as good as / same as OE, they will have a branch near you, dougie.

OE = original equipment.

Brake pads are not normally that expensive, even for a Alfa! and fitting them is a doodle, a decent mechanic should be able to do the whole lot in about an hour or so.

shame...and he's good with computers - just think if he turned up with his toolkit and a chocolate muffin - what more would we want?
