The KM Links Game August week 4 results

Good morning all - I believe it's a Bank Holiday in the UK today - does that automatically mean rain then ?? We've had three lovely warm days. but the horrible stuff is set to return about Wednesday - typical, the Royal Show starts then and if it rains at the start, then it rains all the time and we wade around in wellies !!
Interesting little group of matches for us, nothing from way out of left field - the evergreen Spear Mint finally paid off for the persistent, and Royal Flush was very popular as well.
The other two matches waited until Tearinghair came along and she swiped both Single Cream and Pass Word in addition to Spear Mint for the first of six entrants to score 6 points each - along with Tearinghair were Grenmus, wickedtongue, jobjockey, ulysses100 & Muzz makiing up the six. 17 entrants collected 3 points and 26 added a further point to their tally, all of which will be shown in the complete read out of the Leader Board.
Another bumper week of points with over 110 being scored but I must bring one small detail to light - our champion for this month has had three consecutive scores of 6 points for the past three weeks and I think she attributes it to 'family celebrations' each weekend - I'm not sure just how we can all capitalise on that piece of information to help us with our scores, but the winner for August is MUZZ with a score of 19 - Congratulations to you, very well done.
Next weekend sees the start of a new contest so I hope to see you all when we reconvene, same time, same place on Saturday - till then have a good week... cheers S

Thanks, Steff. Death but not dishonour for the both of us this month. September will be a washout for me, one way or another, as I shall be on the high seas for two of the four weekends.
And, MUZZ, how can we compete with that? Your 'family celebrations' don't by any chance include a girl called Kate, do they?

WOW!!! It is a complete fluke, honest!!! Well done to everyone else!
I don't have a 'system' or anything, but I used to sit for ages, with the 4 words, then think long and hard over possible words to follow or precede them. However, I did have several family celebrations on (no, there was no-one called Kate there!!!) - my Mum was 90 and my sister was 60, and I was always in a hurry, so just entered the first words that came into my head. So, that seems to have paid off! Big thanks to Seekeerz for the scoring. Not looked at Herculis yet, but wait till I tell hubby the good news! And, heh, it is sunny here in Scotland! All the best, Muzz
