NOX do you have a link to the website as i cant find it, i did find one but it was in america. :-/ thanx
I just passed my test in April and got my years insurance (fully comp) for £1100. I went with Thames City.. they're good for young drivers. Just google them :)
I assume that NOX was referring to this:

Do you need constant insurance, or just occasional cover?

My son can be added to my insurance (through Swinton) at a reasonable price for up to 90 days a year. (About a quarter of the year)

The minimum charge is ten days for about £50, though you can take shorter periods for the same price to conserve some of the 90 days.

He is currently on a provisional, but the price won't change when he finally passes.
that's crazy!!!! how big is your engine? i've just passed mine and it would of cost me to insure a 1.4 or for a 1 liter. Pass plus is a great idea, it cost me and i saved just over on my insurance. plus i felt a lot more confident going on motorways for the first time by myself after doing them with my instructor. Good luck with your test sweetie
Those are the ones Chris- but I'd try and find a local branch as they seem to do more via face to face or phone:)

thanx for all your answers, ooh-la-la, my car is 1.4, erin i shall try them now, thanx again for all help. :-)
sorry, for some reason the cost of the different size engines didn't come up in my last post for some reason. i saved one and a half thousand pounds just by changing to a smaller engine. Have you already got your car? it might be worth looking into how much of a difference the engine size makes to your premiums.
