Solo Keyboard Players
4 Answers
Does anyone know how keyboard players who play solo gigs manage to get the sound of a full backing band with all the different intros, melodies, beats etc? It all seems to be computerised but how do they manage to press so many buttons and play music at the same time let alone sing aswell ??

I could be wrong, but I think most of the other instruments: - bass, drums, guitars, horns etc, are programmed into the keyboard first, and then replayed as a backing track, a bit like a recording I suppose. One flick of a switch can set off loops or sequencers that can run for the duration of the track, or just a verse or chorus.
