Bulger killers

This is not a question about their whereabouts. Now that they have assumed new identities and hopefully a new life (with some purpose to it) how long will the authorities keep track of them. Is there a possibility that with the passage of time when they are sufficiently integrated into their new lives (for eg 30 years from now) that the authorities would have completely lost track of them.
