OK bit of a long shot here but 80s tune (about 87) and it starts off with someone going "Here we go" then a long instrumental bit then a guy sings " are we together or are we just friends sumfin sumfin" then the chorus is a woman singing " smile for a while and let me go, come along and feel the good times when we can" then the der der der HERE WE GO bit again, may possibly be by sumone called Con Can or something similar, any help is greatly appreciated :)

Hi

sounds a bit like Kon Kan - i beg your pardon

Would it be "Always" by Atlantic Starr?? I know it sounds nothing like Kon Can though...

do i get an extra point for telling you that they got their name from 'canadian content' ?! they just changed the c's to k's

a bit anorakky i know but i just remember it !

Yes, KonKan (?) -  Dutch I think - 1989 - main "thrust" of the song seemed to be based on Lynn Anderson's Rose Garden "smile for a while and let's be jolly ...".
