Tv Sound Fault

Our Samsung LCD had developed a sound fault (works perfectly in every other way). There is massive distortion on certain low notes when music is played. The Sky music when you are on programme selection (forget it's proper name) is really dreadful. Normal speech is perfect. Can anyone suggest wherein the fault lies (speakers??) and how to get it repaired if possible?

You may have done this but when our television is not working properly we just switch it off at the plug for a few minutes longer if needed and it will go back to original settings

have you played this very loud sometime ? could be speaker damage

weecalf we've done that many times when we have lost sound but this is not like that. Never had the volume higher than average. There is definitely something wrong but not sure if it's speakers or something more technical and what solution there is if any.

Methyl it's a 32" Samsung LE32R73BD Type BD32EO however not for the life of me do I see why that would help in this particular problem. It is a fault that has developed in the last couple of months, there is no vibration nor has it been moved so a new location or pad to sit on wouldn't help. Fitting external speakers seems a faff. How do you divert the sound anyway?

buy a pair of active speakers the kind you'd get for a comp and plug it into your headphone socket (they have to be mains powered though)

Now we have have the model no. we can see you have 'audio out' sockets on the rear of your tv.

You can either do as Ivor4781 suggests or get a soundbar to fit. If you do go for a soundbar I'd suggest one with an 'optical' connection because you have an 'optical out' socket as well.
