Do you remember this US number one single from 1974/75?
It seems it's back in the charts again. It's used in a trailer apparently, although I haven't heard it.
It's a good job they didn't use the Jonathon King version.

Yep, catchy song. One of four Swedish artists to have an american number one(or at least there were 4 when I gave up pop quizzes a couple of years ago)

I used to love listening to the US charts (Casey Kassem) in bed and remember this was a number one there, but it didn't chart here. I remember well the Jonathon King version which was a hit here
A few years earlier though wasn't it, ff.

Never mind, I perhaps did spend too much time listening to music as a young teenager. I just thought it odd that it's back again after 40 years. I can't see Radio 1 playing it though

Yes, tony- I think JK's was 1971/72. Before that, BJ Thomas recorded it in the late 60s
B J Thomas, 1968 ff. Not gonna post the Jonathan King version though !.

Haven't heard this song before. Much prefer the BJ Thomas version tho'.
Sounds a bit familiar to me, but then I was brought up on my dads crap 60's and 70's stuff, Paperlace and the like.
the sad thing is as soon as i saw the title it started playing in my head, word perfect.
I definitely remember the BJ King version. I just listened to it...followed by The Hollies,Kinks...and Stevie Winwood belting out 'I'm a Man'....oh the memories!
...same for me woofgang....;-)

I know it from the reservoir dogs soundtrack, but I don't remember the original release.

wasnt it featured in aly mcbeals dancing baby thing from the 90's
What a stratospherically horrible record!

There is no doubt that the PC stranglehold on modern radio stations will prevent airplay in the highly unlikely event of a re-release - and we should all be grateful for that!
Oh wow, Quoi! I'd forgotten about that baby :)
Gave me the creeps
