I thought it was 69 he got. He was so quick with the answers I don't think he could have been cheating. Some people just have fantastic retention capability.

i listened to one the other day when it was totally obvious someone was there with a fast internet connection googling the answers. An abscure question such as "who was the drummer in ......" (some rarely heard of band) was answered with " i don't know" then just as the beeps were going he came up with a name out of thin air
Wow? Are you serious? The questions are nearly all hit based, nearly all well known, name one of Diana Ross' 2 number ones, any 2 of 4 versions of 'It's Only Make Believe', Name Eruption's other hit etc.. They are hardly Pop Master at all. Where are these people when the UK Pop Quiz championships come round? I can tell you they wouldn't stand a chance against guys who can reel off every hit in order by any artist. They ought to have a TV show like the Eggheads or The Chase for real Pop Masters, a Jon Kutner, Neil Barker, Dave Bastable, Paul Barber or several others. These guys are the real deal, Pop Master should be for exactly that, those questions today weren't taxing at all.
Earlier this year a contestant got max points and so did not have to compete for the DAB Radio. The other contestant was automatically put through to this. He had scored 1 (one) and went on to win the MP4 player. That must be unique. No reflection on the runner up - I couldn't answer anyof his questions either. By the way, the DJ had virtually answered the one question for him to avoid zero.
