I have had a song in my head for years, and I mean about 20 years, I'm not sure if it's a real record, but I'm sure I remember a man singing it on one of those variety performance type programmes, or maybe it was a talent show. Anyway, the chorus went something like 'You gave it all, please don't be cruel to be kind, oh I know that mood.....'. I've had the tune in my head and it's driving me nuts!! Could you have been 70's or 80's. Not much help am I??? Thanks in advance!

I take it you don't mean Frank Sinatra's My Way? Cos I know that song probably more than I should!! I've never heard the song again on the radio or anything, so beginning to think it was one of those one off talent shows and I obviously had really bad taste back then and it stick in my head! I'll keep searching anyway. Thanks.
