itunes songs on your ipod

i download songs off of itunes, but realised the other day that the ones i downloaded off it will not play on my ipod. their names appear on the screen but skip to the next song?! does anyone know how to fix this?? thanks x

Try an .M4A converter. M4A is apple's audio format, so it should play ok. You can get a free converter at www.download.com. and search .M4A converter.
