itunes help

my itunes stopped working the other day :( and through hours of searching to remove and install quicktime and itunes i finally got both my ipod and itunes working again. HOWEVER. the itunes i downloaded was the recent version 7.0 and not the original one i had, and the one i prefer. so. my question is. i got my ipod nano last december/november, and so does anybody know which version of itunes was released then and which it would be? sorry for long question. thanks for any info. its inbetween 6 and 7.

I suspect they all come with the same version on the CD and then just upgrade from there. The last v6 was 6.0.5 so I suspect either 6.0.0 or 6.0.1 going from the number of upgrades I've done.
