Ipod weird happening

I have a Video ipod 60GB and I had put videos in the correct format onto the ipod, and rightly they appeared under the video menu and I was able to play them fine.

Then one day I went to find them under the video menu and they disappeared.

They are still all listed under the 'music' menu and when played the sound plays but the video does not.

Whats happened?
(I have looked on the Apple website but cant find an ezact query like mine and have tried the solutions suggested but no joy as yet)

On your iPod go to Video Settings and change TV Out to Off. It will fix Your Problem.
