What can I have for dinner tonight?
9 Answers
I feel like making something nice for dinner tonight, all my recipe books are in boxes in the spare room (along with loads of other crap!) as I have just replaced the shelves in the study and haven't gotten round to refilling them yet.
I need to go to the shops anyway, so ingredients are not an issue (can't use anything not freely available in sainsburys though!)
Not a big fish lover, but prawns are fine and I particularly like chicken.
Need to go to the shops pretty soon, anybody any suggestions?

about 1lb of hamburger
2 cans baked beans
1 can creamed corn (NOT kernel corn}
onion, green pepper
Chop up some onion and pepper and cook in fair size saucepan (using butter) for about 5 minutes. Add hambuger and cook until done. Add any spices you like, and maybe some bbq sauce , worchester etc. Add the beans and corn, mix and heat together. If you like, add some grated cheese.........very nice with toast or even use some to stuff a squash.

Thanks for all the ideas everyone - unfortunately I had already gone to the shops - we had roast chicken cooked with garlic butter under the skin, baked potatoes, brocolli and carrots. Hammerman - we had a takeaway last saturday as a treat when we had family staying for the weekend - the first for about 5 years, not that fussed really - can't say I enjoyed it any better than the steak pie, mash, brussels and carrots we had the next day!
