Complaining about the PM not visiting flood areas, He can see what's happening the same as we all can. What purpose is it going to serve by him going. Flying from A TO B TO C all day in an expensive helicopter with also a police helicopter as security. The police have enough to do as it is, and the cost of such can be better spent. Just let him do his job as he see's fit, from his office.
We saw David Cameron do this a few years back, and it don't achieve anything at all.
I will reiterate. How the Welsh waterways are maintained and controlled has nothing to do with Boris or Westminster...You didn't know did you. Just bumping away again when you know nothing. If you had been able to pay attention you would have noticed that it was being discussed just yesterday in Cardiff. Why should Boris visit flood victims in Wales? Indeed...
Quite. What's a PM visiting going to achieve other than a photo opportunity and hopefully silencing critics ? That said, some jobs need an individual to pander to the masses in order to stay in a position to achieve. We're stuck with the public we have.
Flying in a helicopter to the flood area only to have those idiots that call themselves Climate Change Rebellion shovelling *** on the steps of number 10 ????
He’s better off getting money to the ones that’s been hit hardest
Yep Bobbs, I'm with anyone who wants to improve the planet, but if I remember right? some of these idiots were digging up a grass land somewhere, that's a great effort, they would get a lot more respect if they put their effort into say spending a day collecting plastic bottles from the streets, and presenting that to the public, I'm sure then they would get the right support.
I assume you've not been flooded then? No idea how these people feel. I'm sure your opinions on the flooded are as futile as the flooded's opinions regarding Boris.
I agree, Boris turning up wouldn't do any good at all. However, if he were still campaigning, you can bet he would be chasing every raindrop - remember his prowess as a mopper-upper during his election campaign.
As for getting the money to those hardest hit? I don't see £500 being of much use when the whole ground floor of many homes have been flooded out. Due to a plumbing fault, I had a flood a few years back and it cost me over £300 to repair. And I did the decorating myself.
No idea what Extinction Rebellion has to do with the majority of wales bein flooded right now OR why Extinction Rebellion should have an affect on Boris visiting some flooded.
What's moot, SpiceRack is an opinion about someone who has an opinion when you can't put yourself in the shoes of those with that opinion to even be able to understand their opinion fully.
I’ve been flooded. I don’t think the PM of any colour could help. I’d be quite annoyed if he turned up in his posh wellies to fake sympathy, unless he brought food and drink.
